Quintin "Zayy" Paschall is a visual artist & designer from Washington D.C. After graduating from Morehouse College in 2019, Paschall taught 5th grade Language Arts in Brooklyn until 2022. Much of Paschall's work draws inspiration from his experiences living in Washington, Atlanta, and New York.
Paschall first began selling his artwork in college, where his contemporaries got to know for wearing a cardboard sign that said "Ask 'Bout My Art".
ZTRA stands for “Zayy The Rapper’s Art”, as well as serves as a constant reminder that the ARTZ is the focus of the brand, forwards and back.
Currently, ZTRA encompasses art by Quintin “Zayy” Paschall, including traditional artwork like paintings, prints, and sculptures, as well as a clothing line called ‘Support De’ Homies’ started in 2020.
The first shirt that was created for the line featured “Support De’ Homies” on the front, “Ask ‘Bout My Art” on the back in the same art style as the cardboard sign.
"I aspire to make art that personifies the Black experience, more specifically, my Black experience. Black art and expression, is itself a revolutionary act. It is my goal to create art that allows people to see their Blackness as something to be appreciated and adorned."
